Making a Freedom of Information Request
Before submitting a request, first check our website for the answer to your question. You’ll find a great deal of information about our business here, including the latest annual report and accounts.
All Scottish public authorities are required to adopt and maintain a publication scheme, which sets out what classes of information are held, how they are made available and whether there is a charge for the information.
Marketing Edinburgh has adopted the 2015 model publication scheme which has the Scottish Information Commissioner’s itspublicknowledge.info approval until 31 May 2019, and has created a guide to information based on the model scheme. The scheme provides links to information, where applicable or contact details to obtain the information.
If the information you are looking for cannot be found in the scheme, a formal request for information can be made. Requests must be in writing, and can be posted to our office at 26 Frederick Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2JR or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You should receive a formal response to your request within 20 working days as specified by the Act.
