Edinburgh's Hogmanay Festival Highlights
The Torchlight Procession
On the 30th December, join thousands of participants and spectators with massed pipes and drums and thousands of torch carriers as they march down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Park to view the breathtaking Torchlight Procession fireworks. Seeing thousands of torches illuminate the city is truly a breathtaking sight to behold, so be sure to head along and take part in this wonderful Edinburgh tradition.
Baby Loves Disco Hogmanay and Bairns Afore
Families with babies, toddlers and children will be able to join in the Hogmanay celebrations with Baby Loves Disco Hogmanay and Bairns Afore. At Baby Loves Disco, midday is the new midnight - so grab your tiny dancers, get kilted and booted or don your favourite Christmas jumper and head along to Festival Square for 2 hours of Hogmanay dayclubbing.
Join the family at 5pm in Princes Street Gardens for a very special Bairns Afore celebration. Get in the Hogmanay spirit with spectacular fireworks and family entertainment, all afore bedtime.

Live bands and DJs fill the streets with music and the city centre comes alive with festivities as revellers from all over the globe come together in Edinburgh to bring in 2018 in style. This is one of the world's biggest outdoor parties, and as the clock strikes midnight images of the fireworks from Edinburgh Castle are beamed to over 1 billion people around the world. This is one New Year's celebration you won't forget.
Concert in the Gardens
Rag 'n' Bone Man will lead the line up for this year's sensational Concert in the Gardens, plus more special guests to be announced. With amazing views of both the main stage and the fireworks, this really is your ticket to the ultimate, memorable Hogmanay experience.
Ceilidh Under the Castle
Birl through the bells and experience the very best in traditional Scottish music at the UK's largest outdoor New Year ceilidh. This exclusive event arena will have outdoor ceilidh dancing, bars and a food village. You'll also learn new dancing moves with the Ceilidh Callers and bring in 2018 with the spectacular midnight fireworks.
The Loony Dook
Welcome 2018 with a splash by taking part in the (quite literally) breathtaking Stoats Loony Dook at South Queensferry. For 30 years, thousands of people have taken an annual dip in the freezing cold waters of the Firth of Forth, raising thousands of pounds for charities across the UK. Spectators are welcome along to cheer on the "Dookers", and this year event sponsors Stoats will be on hand to provide warming porridge to those brave enough to take on the challenge.
