Foxlake Festival

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Foxlake Adventures, just outside Dunbar, the Foxlake Outdoor Festival is a celebration of family fun in the beautiful surroundings of the Scottish landscape. With water sports, music, comedy and outdoor pursuits this is the perfect weekend to get the family active and having lots of fun together. Best of all, kids under 16 go completely free.

After the huge success of 2016 where the festival sold out in 4 weeks, many of the hugely popular elements of last year's event will return, including the thrilling Industry Pro Wakeboard Tour, Scotland’s biggest professional wakeboarding event, showcasing the skills of the Britain’s top wakeboarding talent.

There is a huge array of entertainment throughout the day, with the Decades Music Stage celebrating the past 60 years of music. There is a fantastic line-up of tribute bands with music for every taste, including Take This (Take That), Abba A Rival, Eltan John, George Michaels, Little Fix, and Beatles Revisited. The adults can also enjoy The Foxlake Comedy Club, featuring some of Britain’s best comedians, with headliners Des Clarke and Tom Stade, supported by Gary Little, Janey Godley and Scot Squad stars Chris Forbes and Darren Connell.

There is also plenty to keep the kids happy throughout the day, with an inflatable village filled with every bouncy castle imaginable, bungee trampolines, face painting and a climbing wall. These activities are completely free!

Our Scotland’s Food and Drink County Zone will provide delicious food to refuel you during your adventure. The Foxlake Festival has a fantastic range of local vendors using fresh local produce and cooking demonstrations throughout the day giving you fantastic recipes using local produce that all the family can enjoy.

You can also try out the Foxfall Course, the UK's only rope course constructed over water, or get on your wet suit and give wakeboarding or stand-up paddle boarding a try, or if you prefer to stay dry, hop on and master a segway! These are all charged at extra costs and must be booked separately.

Getting to the Foxlake Festival

It could not be easier to get to the festival with Dunbar only 40 minutes outside Edinburgh. There is parking available on-site but we are fully committed to protecting the beautiful environment that makes our festival so special; so why not take the train or bus? Dunbar is only a 20-minute train journey from Edinburgh and we are providing a free shuttle bus service from Dunbar train station; or alternatively hop on East Coast Buses 107 service which drops you off a short walk from the entrance to Foxlake Adventures.
