Read on to find out how you nail your gorgeous new look, just in time for summer…
Irma Hussain, counter manager for Urban Decay at Debenhams
“This season is all about creating a makeup look that pops and there is no better way to do that than with a bold and bright eye. Urban Decay has a vast range of velvety eyeshadows, including the bestselling Naked Palettes, and the Electric palette which is full of stand-out shades such as pinks, blues and greens - perfect for the summer months.
“At Urban Decay we recommend applying our Eyeshadow Primer Potion before your eye makeup to ensure it doesn’t crease and you maintain a vivid colour all day.
“To complete the look, add a slick of our newest mascara, Perversion. The specialised formula adds volume and length while the blacker than black pigment creates the ultimate statement eye”.
George Gilchrist, Superdrug
“When it comes to your skin, always use the mantra: exfoliate and moisturise. Also remember that less is more, you can always build up layers to create the darker look.”
Rhoda Lloyd, Spa Therapist at Lush Spa Edinburgh
“Prep your summer skin with our fantastic Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh face mask. It's packed full of fresh blueberries and calamine to protect and soothe.”
Fiona Morris, Medical Herbalist at Neal's Yard Remedies
“To soothe summer sunburns, keep rose water or aloe vera juice close to hand. Aloe juice is cooling and anti-inflammatory, not only for the digestive system, but also applied to sore sensitive skin. Refreshing rose water spray can be used as a skin toner and as a mood lifter, so perfect for hot and stressful travels.”
Stacey Pagliarulo, Sleeping Beauty Salon
“The easiest way to get your nails summer ready is a good quality manicure and pedicure. Whether it’s for a festival, a holiday on the beach or a summer wedding, this year’s summer colours are fun and flirty. Bright pinks, corals and purple are all must-have shades this season. CNDs floral bouquet collection and Calgel’s Playground Collection are the easy way to effortless summer nails.”
Lynn Docherty, Fragrance Expert at House of Fraser
"Summer Fragrances for Ladies and Gents are a mix of softer, fresher, citrus and aquatic notes. Many brands will do summer variations on already well established scents like Jean Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Dolce and Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and many more. These fragrances are also generally better value for money as you will pay less for a higher quantity (... but don't tell them I told you that!)."
