This year the festival moves online for the first time. With a programme featuring interactive Zoom performances and workshops as well as high-quality performance films, it offers something for children of all ages to enjoy throughout the Easter holidays.

ComputerXplorers Online Easter Holiday Camp - 12 - 16 April


Programme an app or be a TV producer for the day!

ComputerXplorers are running an exciting and innovative tech-based online Easter Holiday Camp for children aged 8+. This Easter they are offering courses in everything from Stop Motion Animation and Minecraft Build Challenges to Coding with the Microbit – now that’s really to really get your teeth into, when all the chocolate has been eaten!

LOVE Gorgie Farm

Reopening to the public on Monday 5th April, Easter is always a special time down on the farm as it welcomes its new feathered and furry arrivals.

In line with restrictions, only those who are local to the farm are being encouraged to visit for now. Advance booking is not required, but numbers will be monitored in line with space and capacity, therefore at peak times you may have a short wait to get on site.

Easter Feasts at Home

For many of us, a traditional roast dinner forms an integral part of Easter weekend. We may not be able to gather friends and family together just yet, but we can indulge in the tasty delights being offered by several Edinburgh restaurants and cafés, with home delivery or collection available. Feast your eyes on these….!


Hickory At Home

Traditional Easter ingredients with a twist, Hickory@Home have created a 4-course menu and a specially paired bottle of wine, all beautifully designed, packaged and delivered to EH postcodes.

£40.00 per person - minimum required order is 2.

Starting with spring pea soup and devilled eggs to nibble on with homemade Italian bread, followed by roast rack of lamb and desert of rich hot cross bun pudding, the meal is finished with a chocolate mini egg brownie kit – all weighed out in a jar for some home baking over the Bank Holiday weekend. All food is pre-prepped, ready for some easy reheating or simply serving.

A vegetarian option is also available.

Delivery to EH postcodes on Good Friday 2nd April or Easter Saturday 3rd April.  Your box will keep fine in the fridge for serving on Sunday.

Contini@Home’s Easter Sunday Menu for one is £35.00 per person.

Starting with homemade focaccia, followed by burrata with fresh broad beans and roasted hazelnut and roast rump of lamb, this Italian inspired delight is finished with bombolini with Amalfi lemon crema Pasticceria.

Vegetarian version is also available, as is the option of adding a bottle of Prosecco.

The Garden Bistro

A sumptuous 4-course meal is available for collection from the Bistro from Friday 2nd April.

Canape of fig, feta mint crostini, is followed by a starter of Cornish crab and pine nut tart, a main of roast rump of Scottish lamb, before finishing with crème brûlée dessert.

£65 for two people or £120 for four.

Multi-award-winning luxury brasserie and cocktail lounge, Dine’s “Dine, Wine & Cocktails” home delivery service is available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a different menu each week to choose from.

A 3-course meal with Catalonian Gordal olives and a bottle of wine is £49.00 for two people and £98.00 for a family of four (including 2 bottles of wine).

Their special Easter Weekend menu is available Good Friday 2nd – Easter Sunday 4th April.

Choose from a selection of tempting takeaway treats from Norton House Hotel & Spa. This Easter they are offering Easter Afternoon Tea, with sandwiches, wraps, scones and cakes for £25.00 per person, with collection on 2nd - 4th of April.

Or, how about Easter Sunday Lunch with a choice of chicken and leek terrine or niçoise salad starter, roast sirloin of beef or beetroot, caramelised onion & spinach tart main, followed by sticky toffee pudding.  Priced at £30.00 per person, all dishes are prepared and oven-ready for you to cook at home. Cooking guidelines provided on collection. Collection on the 3rd or 4th of April between 10am and 4pm.
