Create a welcoming and one-of-a-kind fabric wreath with Edinburgh Sewcial Club. 

These fun social classes provide a great way to try something new and learn a practical craft. Suitable for all levels, you’ll be provided with everything you need to make your own beautiful handcrafted fabric wreath that'll brighten your door this Christmas and can be re-used year after year.

Christmas Workshops with Edinburgh Craft Club

This festive season Edinburgh Craft Club are running a range of both on-line and in-person fun crafting classes for all abilities.

Currently going through a revival in popularity, why not try your hand at macramé with their Macrame Christmas Wreath in person Workshop; learn to make some unique art with the Bauble Marbling Online Workshop; or discover a new skill and produce some pretty decorations with Festive Punch Needle Art Online Workshop.

Christmas Workshops with Museums & Galleries Edinburgh

ADULTWORKSHOPS Giant Fresh Wreaths Museums And Galleries

Get in the festive spirit and create something special with one of Museums & Galleries Edinburgh’s Christmas Workshops. 

Hosted online or in-person at Lauriston Castle, classes range from Christmas Tree String Prints and Country Wreaths and Garlands to Festive Decorations.

Workshops available on selected dates from Sunday 21 November – Sunday 19 December.

Wreath Making Workshop at Edinburgh Zoo

Join the expert gardens team at Edinburgh Zoo and create a beautiful sustainable wreath with materials naturally sourced from the zoo.

With an array of foliage, seed heads, dried fruit and decorations, by the end of this 3 hour class you’ll have created something truly unique.

This event is suitable for participants aged 13+. Tickets include entry into Edinburgh Zoo and workshops will take place in the Budongo Trail building.

Family-run Pentland Plants have been growing plants for almost 100 years, and during Christmas they have plenty of exciting events planned.

Their popular Wreath Decorating Workshops return this November - choose your wreath size and style it from a selection of gorgeous decorations.

And specially for wee hands, their Kids Christmas Crafts is the perfect opportunity to let the creative juices flow. Make a wreath and decorate it with sparkle and baubles.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop at National Mining Museum

Located at one of Europe’s finest surviving examples of a Victorian colliery, the Lady Victoria Colliery at Newtongrange, is the home of The National Mining Museum. 

Just 9 miles south of Edinburgh, this Christmas they are offering visitors the chance to create a Christmas wreath using natural materials, all while enjoying a glass of mulled wine and marvelling at the beautifully decorated museum.

Wreath Making Workshops at Bowhill House

3 miles west of Selkirk in the picturesque Scottish Borders lies Bowhill House, the magnificent country home of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch.

This Christmas, their popular wreath making workshops see a welcome return to the house. Join Michael the Ranger for a 2-hour class where you’ll receive all the materials you need to make a magnificent Christmas wreath.

Wreath Making Workshops at Dalkeith Country Park

Christmas Wreath Making Restoration Yard

Set in 1000 acres, the historical Dalkeith Country Park features a shop, restaurant, and wellness space, as well as a 700 year-old oak wood to explore.

For a taste of something festive, they are running a series adult-only wreath making workshops where you can create a something beautiful featuring fresh flowers, dried fruits, pinecones and foliage from the estate.
