Edinburgh Castle

What is Edinburgh without the castle? One of the most intrinsic parts of the city's tourist experiences is, of course, visiting its most-recognised landmark - Edinburgh Castle.

Craigmillar Castle

Sometimes known as Edinburgh’s “other castle”, Craigmillar Castle is one of the most perfectly preserved castles in Scotland.

Set in rolling parkland, what was once a late 14th century tower house, grew in time to become a medieval stronghold. Today, it is most famously known for offering refuge to Mary Queen of Scots in 1566.
