Whisky Experience 500X210

For Dads who love a dram, there’s no better way to spend Father’s Day than a walk around The Scotch Whisky Experience next to the Castle at the top of the Royal Mile.

Take a barrel ride through a replica distillery to find out more about the whisky distilling process, and get a unique insight into Scotland’s favourite tipple from expert tour guides. If you’re feeling generous, you could even get Dad his own bottle to take home or enjoy a dram together in the Amber Restaurant.

You can find the Scotch Whisky Experience (website) at 354 Castlehill, Edinburgh EH1 2NE.

It boasts the dramatic backdrop of Arthur’s Seat and Duddingston Loch, and the 6,200 yard course is one of the longest in Edinburgh – making for a satisfying round of golf. Once you are done, be sure to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in the course’s state of the art clubhouse.
