Shia Ting found out about QMU and study opportunities in Edinburgh whilst working in Singapore as an Occupational Therapist. A friend recommended QMU’s MSc Occupational Therapy to her and a colleague had already completed the programme at QMU.
Shia Ting considers Edinburgh to be her second home now. She enjoys exploring the ancient and modern parts of the city, as well as the natural beauty. Her favourite Edinburgh attractions include Princes Street Gardens, Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat, Dean Village and The Meadows.
She thinks QMU caters really well for the needs of international student and she benefited from QMU’s foundation course for all international postgraduate students, which provides help with academic writing and research skills.
Since graduating for QMU, Shia Ting is now working as a Senior Occupational Therapist in Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Berkshire, where she’s based in the out-patient hand therapy department.
