Walk the Old Town Resident Rate

Walk the Old Town does exactly what it says on the tin. Join your costumed guide for a 60 minute tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town and hear captivating stories of the people that forged Scotland. These fun and informative tours are easily accessible, accessible for mobility scooter users, family and pet-friendly.

Resident Rate

Residents with an EH postcode receive a £6 discount on adult and £5 discount on child/concession tickets for Walk The Old Town tour.

Bookings should be made by emailing Walk The Old Town on walktheoldtown@gmail.com and quoting Resident Rewards.  Bookers will then be emailed with a discount code that can be redeemed at the checkout on Walk The Old Town’s website. This code is for a one-time purchase only. Proof of Edinburgh residence (utility bill and ID) will need to be shown at the tour meeting point.

Terms and conditions

• This reward is only valid for residents with an EH postcode. Contact and address details will be required when booking and on arrival (photo ID or utility bill with an EH postcode).

• This reward is valid until 31 December 2025.
• Tours start punctually. Late-comers who do not inform Walk The Old Town in advance will be rescheduled to the next available time and date.
• No-shows who have not contacted Walk The Old Town to cancel will not be eligible for a refund.
• In the case of adverse weather conditions, tours will be rescheduled at no extra cost. 
• Walk The Old Town reserve the right to refuse a tour to anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs or engaging in anti-social behaviour. 
• Tours have no age restriction, apart from the Crime and Punishment Tour. Parental discretion is advised for this tour as the subject matter might not be appropriate for small children.
• All bookings are subject to availability.
• This reward cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
• Advance booking is required.
