Beyond Borders International Festival

Traquair House welcomes back an explosion of culture and debate with Beyond Borders International Festival 2018.

Beyond Borders International Festival (BBIF) returns to Traquair House for its ninth year. Join internationally-acclaimed writers, speakers, thinkers, diplomats and artists to discuss the most pressing issues of our time.

Peace and conflict, human rights, literature and identity will all be discussed in a wide-ranging programme of debates, workshops and exhibitions taking place around the grounds.

Stirring Cajun, African, Syrian and Palestinian beats give a lively atmosphere to the festival, nestled in the grounds of the historic Traquair House. BBIF 18 promises ‘The World in a Weekend’, with the Walled Garden programme jam-packed with spoken word, music, film, walks, and cycle rides.

Alongside yoga, meditation and massage tipis, there will be rides and poetry with social cycling authors, foraging walks and tastings and workshops on local gin and beers.
