Canal Festival Raft Race

A celebration of Edinburgh’s canal and its community, this year’s festival blends traditional elements of past festivals with new events.

This year’s programme will see 5 main festival areas along the Union Canal, each of which will host a variety of events, including artist and dance workshops, live music and watersports taster sessions as well as several refreshment and craft stalls.

The 5 festival areas along the canal include Lochrin Basin, Leamington Liftbridge, Fountainbridge Green, Climate Fringe @ Bainfield Student Accommodation Lounge and Harrison Park.

The festival also sees the return of the Raft Race. Taking place between 3pm and 4.30pm at the Edinburgh Quay Canal Basin, it now open for entrants. Book your place here >
