The vibrant Edinburgh International Children's Festival returns with a programme created especially for children & young people.

The Edinburgh International Children's Festival celebrates the best of children’s theatre and dance from around the world, showcasing high quality, distinctive Scottish and international performances to an audience of children, their teachers, and their families each year.
Featuring a mix of theatre, circus and dance and with an emphasis on striking visual productions, the international programme aims to inspire and engage children, from toddlers to teenagers, and is a popular annual highlight for families and schools.
The Festival has also established itself as one of the best places for programmers from all over the world to see work of the very highest standard. It is a place where artists meet, see and discuss work, and take part in professional development activities.
Highlights from this year’s programme include ….And the Ideas Soar, an interactive journey full of acrobatics, humour, play, light and music; the acrobat dancing display, Murmur; a magical circus-like performance that is Udul; and Protest, ) a powerful play written by Hannah Lavery which explores the themes of friendship and finding & believing in your own voice.
