Dive into Marine Fest and explore a packed programme of marine-themed fun and educational events, exhibitions, workshops, trails and children’s shows.

Launching on World Ocean Day (8 June), the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick hosts a 5 day festival with a range of events celebrating Scotland’s extraordinary marine wildlife and habitats.

Ranging from exhibits and wellbeing events to water activities all spread out along the beautiful East Lothian coastline, highlights from this year’s programme include:

In Conversation with Miranda Krestovnikoff  - TV presenter, wildlife expert and diver Miranda will be hosting a talk on Scotland’s incredible marine environment and the experiences which have brought her closer to nature.

Wild Swimming Stories with Vicky Allan and Anna Deacon – Wild swimmers Vicky Allan and Anna Deacon discuss their favourite swimming spots around the UK.

Sustainable Seafood Supper - Sustainable seafood supporter and chef Grant Reekie creates a low impact seafood meal. The evening will also feature marine sustainability charity Open Seas, discussing how to make more climate friendly fish and shellfish choices.

Guided Snorkel Trail - Suitable for beginners age 14+, join diver Laura Curtis Moss for a guided trail which includes an exploration around East Lothian Snorkel Trail’s North Berwick locations.
