Fingal

Since opening in 2019 on Leith’s shore, Fingal has become a unique additional to Edinburgh’s hotel scene. This 5-star luxury floating hotel, which is a sister ship to the nearby Royal Yacht Britannia, began life as a Northern Lighthouse Board vessel, shipping supplies and keepers to Scotland’s lighthouses. It has now been restored to a beautiful 23-cabin boutique hotel.

In homage to her past, each of the cabins are named after Stevenson lighthouses and you’ll see lovely nautical touches everywhere you look – from port-hole windows to navigational maps on the walls.
