Various routes across Edinburgh
With nine different running events to choose from, the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF) has something for everyone, from experienced to novice runners.
For adults, there’s the Edinburgh Marathon, the second largest marathon in the UK, behind only London, and EMF Half, which takes-in many iconic views of Edinburgh before making its way to Musselburgh. EMF 10K and EMF 5K both take place within the city’s Holyrood Park. For groups of four, EMF Relay is a chance to join forces and complete the Edinburgh Marathon.
Junior events include the EMF Junior 5K (11 to 18 year olds), EMF Junior 2K (9 to 12 year olds), EMF Junior 1.5K (6 to 8 year olds), and EMF Kids’ Kilometre (3 to 6 year olds).
