On Saturday 30th November, The Beatles Marathon UK returns to Edinburgh, taking place at Portobello Town Hall.
Over 11 hours of fantastic live music will be performed by 12 talented Edinburgh-based bands, as they take on all 13 albums by The Beatles to raise money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Hosted at the Portobello Town Hall to the east of Edinburgh, this family-friendly day out is the perfect way to spend your Saturday, with musical entertainment, food and drink, children’s entertainment, and much more on offer.
The Beatles Marathon UK started last year, in memory of Pat McGachan – the father of co-founders Stuart and Scott. Pat was a huge fan of The Beatles throughout his life, but sadly passed away after a two-year battle with Motor Neuron Disease. Money raised through The Beatles Marathon UK will go to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, which supports those suffering from MND – and their families – and finances much needed research into the life-ending disease.
Buses that run past Portobello Town Hall include: 12, 19, 26 (and N26), 49, and if travelling by car, there is ample on-street parking down nearby residential roads, as well as a small car park on Bridge Street – a five-minute walk away. There is also an accessible entrance to the venue as well as two disabled bays outside, however contacting the venue beforehand is advised.
