Presented by Moving Minds, join Jasmine Smales, PhD Researcher & Project Leader to learn how your auditory system is deeply linked to your memories and emotions, giving music the ability to tap into them as well. Discover what “Musicking” is, and why understanding neuroaesthetics (the study of how the Arts impact the brain), is important and how to use it to your benefit.

Experience how music can be used to build neurological, social and emotional connections that benefit well-being.

Doors open at 7.30pm, with seating on a first-come, first- served basis. After the talk, the evening will end with a Q&A session.

Why Music Moves Us takes place at Malones Leith on 05 March 2026. Tickets should be booked in advance online.
