In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Edinburgh’s different neighbourhoods have their Christmas tree light up events. These are well worth a visit and are often accompanied by carols, hot drinks, local shops and craft stalls. Some even feature Santa’s Grotto, children’s arts and crafts and musical entertainment.
