The Kirk welcomes visitors to explore the Kirk and undertake a self-guided tour. With a dedicated station for kids including colouring activities and a treasure hunt, there's something for all the family to enjoy. A museum room tells the story of Greyfriars' history through a timeline of events and the gift shop offers a range of items from Harry Potter, to literature on Scottish history and many variations of the beloved Greyfriars Bobby.
Greyfriars is proud to be a welcoming and inclusive church to people of all faiths and none, responding to local needs in a variety of ways, especially through our work with the Grassmarket Community Project and the Greyfriars Charteris Centre.
The Kirk is also a distinctive and inspiring venue, ideal for a wide range of events. Throughout the year, the Kirk is host to ceilidhs, exhibitions, receptions and conferences. Not to mention, a popular choice of wedding venue.
