About
Visit Hopetoun and discover a place of beauty, tranquillity and architectural magnificence dating from the 17th century.
The house has been home to the Hope Family since the late 1600’s and the present Lord Hopetoun and his family still live in Hopetoun House.
Hopetoun House, a remarkable and beautiful stately home, is filled with stunning collections and sits in majestic grounds with nature trails and scenic walks.
Due to the historic nature of the building the most accessible entrance is via the Colonnaides to the right of the main doors. Once inside the ground floor offers step-free access but there is stepped only access to the first-floor bedrooms and central domed staircase.
A virtual tour is available in tablet form to give visual access to the upper floor bedrooms. Large print information and maps including an accessible route map are also provided.
The Charter Room can be accessed by a steps or platform lift and there is ramped access to the Ballroom and Tapestry Room toilets.
A wheelchair can be organised for visitors to borrow, and additional seating is available. Sensory packs can also be provided.
A companion/carer discount is offered and facilities for assistance dogs are provided.
