A five-star luxury hotel in Edinburgh city centre. When the 170-year-old Lady Glenorchy Church was converted into The Glasshouse Hotel in 2003, Scotland exchanged one iconic piece of history for another. With 77 bedrooms, this is a standout among luxury boutique hotels and is considered one of the finest places to stay in Edinburgh.
This historic hotel in Edinburgh features cosy-contemporary interiors, warm Scottish service and consistently spectacular views of the city centre, Calton Hill or the hotel’s two-acre rooftop garden. In 2018 the hotel’s reception was fully refurbished; the crisp modern lines and vibrant lighting, creating a dramatic juxtaposition between the historic and gothic church façade, and the striking modern and luxurious space behind.
Our much loved Snug bar and lounge offers comfortable seating and an open fire. It also hosts a collection of over 200 different Whiskies and a range of Havana Fine Cigars which can be enjoyed in our rooftop garden.
