Q&As

  1. What charities or local groups does OneCity Trust support? Any registered Scottish Charity or constituted community group provided they are based in Edinburgh and focus their activities within the city boundary. The OneCity Trust is keen to support small and medium-sized organisations. Therefore, priority will be given to organisations with an overall income of less than £500,000 per year. However, organisations with an annual income of more than £500,000 – £750,000 are not excluded.
  2. Can individuals apply to receive a voucher? No, not directly but individuals can be nominated via registered any registered Scottish Charity or constituted community groups, provided they are based in Edinburgh and focus their activities within the city boundary. We particularly welcome interest from those who work with disadvantaged families. If you require further assistance please email admin@onecitytrust.com. If you are a resident who is supported by local charity and would like to be considered for tickets, please contact the charity directly and ask them to make an application on your behalf to OneCity Trust.
  3. Is it limited to one voucher per family/person? To ensure fair access to these experiences, each successful applicant is limited to one allocation. Family tickets are intended for 2 adults and 2 children, though a small contingency is available for larger families with 3 or more children. These requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the OneCity Trust. Lothian Buses & Tram DAYtickets will be provided to recipients aged 22 and over, as those under 22 are eligible for free bus travel.
  4. What geographical areas does the initiative cover?  The initiative will be available to those living within the City of Edinburgh with an EH postcode and will be guided by charities involved with OneCity Trust. Anyone living with an EH postcode can apply.
  5. Why has OneCity Trust been selected? OCT provides access to multiple social groups across Edinburgh, working with social groups facing homelessness, youth empowerment, mental health, older people, disability support, food poverty, refugees and migrants.
  6. Are you looking for more experiences to add to the list? We want to ensure this campaign has as much impact as possible, so any businesses able to provide additional experiences are very welcome. This can be done by contacting Forever Edinburgh at residentrewards@edinburgh.gov.uk
