Out of this world rooftop bars

When you think of Edinburgh’s watering holes, images of cosy bars tucked down ancient closes and narrow alleyways might come to mind – the city’s charm is undeniably grounded in historic, snug atmospheres.

But peer beyond the cobblestones, and instead, look up. Edinburgh’s rooftop bars are transforming the cityscape, offering a unique experience where you can sip a cocktail or a dram of whisky under the stars while gazing out over some of the most spectacular views the city has to offer.

Whether it’s a majestic view of Edinburgh Castle, or the sun setting behind the ancient volcano of Arthur’s Seat, these rooftop spots offer a view as breathtaking as the drinks themselves.
