Telling the story of a terrifying future where an all-powerful government dominates absolutely everything, it is in this totally controlled world that Winston and Julia begin a love affair which catapults them into rebellion against the Party. This powerful story dramatises their epic battle to be human against all odds.
This new adaptation by Chris Hannan is a Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, Citizens Theatre and Dundee Rep Theatre Co-Production.
