Deaf Science Day is a special event being held at Dynamic Earth during British Science Week, and just ahead of British Sign Language Week, celebrating accessibility, discovery, and science.

On Wednesday 12th March, in collaboration with the Scottish Sensory Centre at Edinburgh University, Dynamic Earth will open its doors with special adjustments made with deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors in mind as part of their first ever Deaf Science Day.

The day will include subtitled exhibits, brightened spaces to ensure interpreters are easily visible, planetarium shows with BSL interpretation, and school workshops delivered in BSL by inspiring deaf scientists.

Dynamic Earth believe everyone can be a problem solver of the future! This event is a unique opportunity to inspire curiosity and creativity in science while making adjustments to ensure deaf visitors feel welcome and engaged.

This event cannot be booked in advance, walk-in tickets will be available at their ticket desk on the day.
