Described as “a songwriter of astute emotional resonance” by CLASH Magazine, Emma Miller has long been touted for her spellbinding voice and poignant lyricism. Originally from northeast Scotland, there’s a subtle Celtic inflection in her tone and delivery that adds to the depth of her song writing.

She’ll be performing her debut album I Want to Be the Anchor at The Leith Depot on the evening of 30 April 2026. The album covers themes of self-acceptance, love, loss and the revelation of wanting children. Album merchandise will also be on sale on the night.

An independent bar, restaurant and grass roots music venue, The Leith Depot is on Leith Walk. The area is well served by Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams. The bar is ground level with ramps at the main entrance, and has an accessible toilet.
