Championing the simple joy of gathering together in a welcoming space, surrounded by nature, whether you’re supporting small local businesses, or simply looking for a welcoming Sunday destination, Market on the Croft offers a community-centred experience that captures the spirit of Leith.
On Sundays, the Croft becomes a lively corner of Leith with independent traders offering items such as delicious food and drinks, handcrafted goods, natural skincare, zero-waste products, fresh produce, and creative gifts made with care. Live music drifts across the space, friends and families gather together, and visitors are invited to explore, taste, chat, and discover something new at every stall. An exciting addition this year is Puffin Sauna, launching on 29 November and bookable on weekends until 21 December 2025.
Through winter, the Croft becomes especially magical – lit with festoon lights, warmed by firepits, and decorated with natural touches. Children can enjoy drop-in activities while adults relax with a warm drink from Populus café or browse the stalls at their own pace.
The building on John’s Place – home of Populus cafe and Farm shop – is ground floor only and accessible for wheelchairs from John’s Place entrance. An accessible toilet, baby changing facilities and highchairs are accessible. The market ground gate entrances and central areas are laid with wood chip or gravel.
