On this atmospheric tour, journey through The Real Mary King’s Close and uncover tales that have shaped Scotland for centuries.

Join your guide under Edinburgh’s hidden streets as they reveal the stories that have plagued the city for centuries. As you wander through the dimly lit closes, hear tales of Glaistig, a half-woman and half-goat, said to guard cattle and mislead travellers; the mysterious tiny coffins un-earthed on Arthur’s Seat; and headless drummers once thought to warn off danger. Discover how these incredible stories have shaped the city’s identity and continue to echo beneath its streets.

Myths & Legends Tours take place on 20 and 27 November 2025, with two departures each day at 4.40pm and 5pm. These one-hour tours are limited to 20 guests, and visitors are advised to pre-book.
