Napiers Festival Foraging Tour

This August, Napiers the Herbalists presents the Festival Foraging Tour. Embracing Edinburgh’s edible landscape, visitors will be able to take part in a foraging tour exploring the Hermitage of Braid and Blackford Hill Local Nature Reserve.

Led by expert forager Amy Rankine, participants will explore nature, learn how to spot edible fungi and plants, and pass by the places Duncan Napier (founder of Napiers the Herbalists) visited whilst collecting herbs.

Running for a limited time only, tours takes place each Sunday in August 2023.

Places are limited (15 people per tour) and are suitable for those aged 10+ years.

As this is an outdoor event, please dress according to the weather. Comfortable footwear is recommended. Due to uneven ground, the path is unsuitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

An eminent Victorian botanist, Duncan Napier founded Napiers the Herbalists in 1860. His legacy continues today at the popular shop on Edinburgh’s Bristo Place.
