Set in the beautiful surroundings of Dalkeith Palace within Dalkeith Country Park and running from 29 Aug to 05 October 2025, PhotoDalkeith returns for its second year. This year’s programme features a number of photographed-themed events.

Learn more about the works on display on an Exhibition Tour. Running every Saturday at 11.30am from 30 August to 04 October, tours last around 75 minutes.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy 2 new conversational events. The Killing Time explores family history, landscape and memory in the context of The Killing Time, photographer Iain Stewart’s project linked to the persecution of the Covenanters in the south west of Scotland of the late 17th century. Comprising a talk and concert, Music of the Enlightenment explores philosophy, nature, and photography.

If you fancy learning more about photography practices, DalkeithPhoto Workshops (06 September to 05 October) will be running a range of practical workshops and demonstrations.

Dalkeith Country Park is around 30 minutes commute from the centre of Edinburgh. Lothian Buses 3, 33 or 49 run a regular service to Dalkeith High Street. It is then a 5 to 10 minute walk to the park.

The full programme of events can be viewed on PhotoDalkeith. Pre-booking is required.
