Featuring Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, Scottish Ballet bring the charming story of Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and by the Sugar Plum Fairy to life.

Follow Clara on a journey through the worlds of her imagination, as she drifts off to sleep on Christmas Eve. She meets the dashing Nutcracker Prince, takes on the larger-than-life Rat King, sees snowflakes dance in the Land of Ice and Snow, and is whisked into the luscious Land of Sweets by the Sugar Plum Fairy.

A Relaxed Performance takes place on the afternoon of 16 January. This will have dimmed lights, break out spaces, and freedom to make noise and move around the auditorium. Audio Description and Touch Tours run on 18 January.

Scottish Ballet Artistic Team will also be sharing insights from behind the scenes of the production, focusing on the creation of the show, the choreography, and the music on the evenings of 10 and 17 January.

The Festival Theatre is on Nicolson Street. Several of Lothian Buses routes travel close to the venue, including 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, 30, 31, 37 and 49.
