Taking place at Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall, this musical event – an Edinburgh premiere – features La Chapelle Sauvage, under the direction of Karel De Wilde, featuring soprano Abigail Barker and countertenor Gleb Zakharov as soloists.

2026 marks 290 years since Giovanni Battista Pergolesi composed Stabat Mater, a work written in the final weeks of his life and forever associated with the Easter season.

The Queen’s Hall is on Clerk Street in Edinburgh’s Southside. A number of Lothian Buses routes serve the area on a regular basis, including services 2, 3, 5, 8, 29, 30, 31, 33 and 49.

Tickets to Stabat Mater by Pergolesi should be purchased in advance.
