Held against the glorious backdrop of Dalkeith Country Park, visitors to this 2-day festival will be able to choose from a jam-packed programme of foody events.
Enjoy chef demonstrations, a BBQ stage, foraging walks, a craft and gift marquee, artisan market and a range of fabulous food and drink for all tastes – all while enjoying a mix of live music throughout the day.
The festival will be sure to be fun for the whole family with a range of kids activities on offer, including a mini zoo, circus skills workshops, cookery classes, bouncy castle and fairground rides. And 4-legged furry family members don’t miss out either, as the festival is dog friendly. (Please be considerate of other visitors and keep your dog on a short lead).
Are you up for a challenge? Then make sure you head for the aptly named Challenge Stage where you can take part in the Sausage and Cider Challenge or Chilli Challenge! (18+ years only).
If travelling by car, Dalkeith Country Park is around 5 minutes from Edinburgh city by-pass. Entry is via the main entrance, The King’s Gate. Parking charges apply.
Lothian Buses services 3, 33 and 49 run regularly to Dalkeith High Street. It is then a 10 minute walk to the park entrance.
The full programme and ticket details can be found on The Great British Food Festival.
