Join Alzheimer’s Research UK for Walk For A Cure. Come together with hundreds of other walkers and be part of the movement walking to find a cure for dementia.

Taking place at Holyrood Park, one of Edinburgh’s most naturally beautiful locations, Walk For A Cure Edinburgh is a 5K circular walk of mixed terrain, with hills and flat stretches and breath-taking views throughout.

The route is well-marked and consists of both grass and gravel surfaces, making it accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs with some help. However, please be aware that there is a slight incline leading up to Arthur’s Seat.

All participants are requested to aim to raise £150 or more to make a crucial impact in the quest to find a cure for dementia for future generations.

Toilets, including accessible ones, are located next to the event village and there are rest stops along the walk for support, if required. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Participants are also welcome to bring their own refreshments. Please note, only assistance dogs can take part in the event.

The event starts at 10am, with the walk starting at 11am.

Walk for a Cure takes place on 23 June 2024. For more information and to sign-up on go to Alzheimer’s Research UK.
