Kids for a Quid train tickets

With Scotrail’s Kids for a Quid, up to four children can travel by train for £1.00 return each with an adult. The ticket also has one free child entry when you purchase a full price, standard entry adult ticket to some of the city’s top attractions.


Kids for a Quid

Scotrail’s Kids for a Quid tickets cost £1.00 per child per return journey and are valid for up to four children aged 5 to 15 years when travelling with an adult.

They are available with most adult tickets, including ScotRail Advance single tickets, season tickets and Flexipass. Simply buy your ticket from the booking office or on the train when a ticket office isn’t available.

For the duration of the ‘Off-Peak fares all day long’ trial, which runs until 28 June 2024, Kids for a Quid tickets are valid for travel all day, any day. After this date, travel applies to off-peak only. Generally, this means after 9.15am on weekdays and any time at the weekend.
