For more than 200 years the venue has been at the heart of the capital, has hosted both monarchy and celebrity royalty, played its part in two world wars and celebrated artistic excellence. The Georgian building has been restored to her former glory. It is elegantly designed with glittering crystal chandeliers, gleaming gold leaf and impressive gilt mirrors reflecting the history and tradition of the building, while the latest customisable technology has been incorporated seamlessly within the event spaces including sound systems, lighting and staging.
The Assembly Rooms are available for public or private, corporate or civic events, for concerts, stand-up comedy, spoken word and performances of every nature. The venue is managed by a specialist team who will ensure every occasion is a success and every visitor have an experience they’ll never forget.
