About
The Contini story starts over a hundred years ago when families arrived here as migrants from rural Italy. In Italy they had been farmers but, without any land, they decided to make a living from the other thing they knew and loved – good food. With a passion to deliver fresh, seasonal and authentic Italian cooking the Contini brand was born.
As proud Italian Scots they felt the best way to prove this is by having somewhere to serve great food.
The beautiful, vibrant buzzy Italian restaurant situated in one of Edinburgh’s most beautiful rooms. This former banking hall is modelled on a Florentine Palazzo and delivers everything you want from a fabulous, authentic contemporary Italian restaurant. Produce is sourced direct from the markets in Italy and menus change each month with the seasons. Homemade pasta and delicious Puglian focaccia is made fresh every morning.
