The Edinburgh Animal Trail is a locally created, self-guided experience designed for families who want to explore the city in a more relaxed, playful way.
Following a trail of animals statues/ carvings across Edinburgh city centre, it combines storytelling, promoting local artists, simple clues and beautifully illustrated cards to turn a walk into something memorable. The project is developed in collaboration with local residents, with multilingual voiceovers and contributions that reflect the city as it is today. As a social enterprise, it also gives back by sharing the experience with local children, keeping the focus on visitors, but also on belonging and connection.
