About

Gallery-Close is a photographic gallery situated between George Street and Stockbridge in the wonderfully scenic New Town, offering work to collectors and fans from a range of established photographers and those new to the gallery scene. It is overseen by Chris Close a high end professional photographer with decades of experience. The experience of working at the cutting edge commercially has allowed him to take a much broader insight to the photography world than many more traditionally run galleries.

The gallery prides itself on being friendly offering fair prices for original and editioned art work.

Please note that opening times can vary so please call in advance. We are very happy to make appointments for people wishing to see work out side normal hours.

Unfortunately their are 5 steps at the front and so wheelchair access is difficult but we will endeavour to be as accommodating as possible.

The New Town is an often overlooked part of Edinburgh, as tourists flock to the nooks and crannies off the Royal Mile, but this is where the locals live. Beautiful high ceilings and ornate decoration makes it a joy to walk through day or night. Lesser known cafes, bakeries, galleries. It is no coincidence film crews love to use it as a backdrop to filming.
