About

Kyloe is Edinburgh’s first gourmet steak restaurant. Since we opened in November 2011 we have been on a sensational culinary journey exploring the tender and complex flavours that Scottish beef has to offer. Join your loved ones and enjoy deliciously cooked cuts of steak, including traditional & more unusual cuts, prepared by our head chef John Rutter and his team.

We look for both fantastic meat and a serious commitment to provenance and sustainability when selecting our suppliers to ensure that our guests enjoy a delectable dining experience every time. We are proud to work with Hardiesmill in the Scottish Borders who have a rigorous approach to breeding, feeding and handling. This, combined with an expert chef team who love what they do, means that your meal looks great, tastes great, and is ethically great.

There are some great experiences to enjoy here at Kyloe. Our award-winning Sunday Roast is more than just Yorkshire puddings over-flowing with home-made pan gravy and fluffy roast potatoes all accompanied by deliciously sweet vegetables. It’s about the theatre of having your roast rib of Scottish Beef carved at the table in front of you; and it’s about spending time with your friends and family as our team take care of you. Our sharing steaks are also ever-popular, and can be enjoyed as part of our midweek Steak Me Out deal.

We put just as much care and attention into developing our wine list as we do our food menu. Our extensive wine list features a wide range of wines, from all corners of the World, showcasing different expressions and styles that can be found in both the Old and New World. There is a particular focus on Argentina, specifically the Malbec grape, as the approachable tannins work perfectly with the slight saltiness and char of our Scottish beef. We would love to give you recommendations to match your meal, just let us know!
