Pentland Shepherd Huts

Tucked away on a peaceful livery yard, surrounded by fields and hills, our handcrafted shepherd huts offer a relaxing retreat for guests seeking to slow down and spend time in nature. This is a place to enjoy life's simple pleasures - listening to the birds sing, watching the horses grazing in the fields or gazing at the stars whilst soaking in the hot tub.

The stylish, luxury shepherd huts have a cosy living area with a well-equipped kitchen, sumptuous king sized bed and a beautiful ensuite shower room. Four of the huts have a sofa bed too making them ideal for families. Each hut has a private outdoor area complete with a wood-fired hot tub, lounge chairs, a picnic bench, fire pit and bbq. Whilst here you can meet the cheeky pygmy goats & miniature shetland ponies. We are a dog friendly site with lots of great walks close by.

Located just 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh City Centre, all the amenities of the city are close by. The site is also ideally located to explore all that Midlothian, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders have to offer.

Our Connemara huts are our largest luxury huts that sleep up to 4 guests. They have a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed and a large sofa bed in the living area that converts to a double bed. These are ideal for families or couples looking for more spacious accommodation. The private outdoor areas have views over the Pentland Hills, a 4-person wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, picnic table and bbq. We have 2 huts of this style.

Our beautiful Highland huts also sleep up to 4 people and offer relaxed open plan living, with a king-sized bed and a sofa that converts to a double bed. Again ideal for families or couples. The private outdoor areas have views over to the Moorfoot Hills, a 4-person wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, picnic table and bbq. We have 2 huts of this style.

The Shetland hut offers a cosy couple's retreat, sleeping 2 guests. Ideal for couples or solo travellers. It offers open plan living complete with a comfy loveseat, king-sized bed and an Everhot stove. It has a private outdoor area with views to the Moorfoot Hills, a wood-fired LuvTub for 2, fire pit, picnic table & bbq.
