Seasalt make quality clothing and accessories woven with stories of their home in Cornwall. Colours and patterns are taken from the landscapes and seascapes along the wild Cornish coastline. Seasalt’s in-house designers sketch and paint to create prints that always have a handcrafted feel, often nodding to Cornwall’s creative heritage of sculpture and painting.

The Seasalt story began in Penzance in 1981, with a little family-run shop that sold smocks and oilskins to fishers and artists. These classic pieces of Cornish workwear inspired new designs with clean lines, functional details and easy fits for women and men. Warm waterproof coats and classic maritime stripes sit beside effortless dresses made with soft natural-blend fabrics, garment-dyed linen pieces and warming wool-blend and cotton jumpers with heritage-inspired stitch patterns. These enduring styles should last for years with the right care.

Seasalt are also committed to increasing the use of certified, sustainable materials in their products year on year. Their range of Tide Cycle® fabrics and yarns are soft yet hardwearing. Using fibres derived from recycled single use plastics like post-consumer bottles, they reduce waste going to landfill.

Each year, they increase the percentage of organic cotton in their range and more of their suppliers gain Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification. They’re aiming for 100% of the cotton they use to be fully traceable and certified as organic by the end of 2024.
