Edinburgh's only Distillery School where guests can visit to enjoy a full immersive and hands on distilling experience.
Any guests visiting Sip Antics will be welcomed by their host at the front entrance to the Cumberland Bar at their experience start time, then led downstairs to the small intimate Distillery School in the basement. Each guest will receive a welcome drink of their spirit choice and given a brief outline of the running order of the experience. Each guest will then taste 3 x mini neat samples of their preferred spirit before choosing a recipe from our botanical library of over 120 different flavoured ingredients.
Once the recipe is completed, guests will distill a bottle of their chosen spirit on one of our mini 2 litre copper pot stills while enjoying a cocktail prepared by the host. After distillation, guests will bottle their distillate, measure the strength of the alcohol with a hydrometer, label and name their bottle then finally hand waxing their bottle top to ensure safe travel home with them.
