The Visitor Centre is located in a beautifully renovated schoolhouse by the Water of Leith

The Water of Leith Conservation Trust’s was founded in 1988 with a mission to conserve and enhance the Water of Leith, making it a haven for biodiversity and recreational resource. As Scotland's first river charity they strive to raise awareness about the importance of the River of Leith and encourage community involvement in its preservation.

The Visitor Centre is located in a beautifully renovated schoolhouse by the Water of Leith. Inside, you'll find a free exhibition that explores the history, ecology, and cultural heritage of the river. Take your time to explore the displays and immerse yourself in the wonders of this remarkable natural asset. Enjoy a variety of teas, coffees, and snacks while taking in the serene views of the river. In the gift shop you can find books and souvenirs. The Centre is fully wheelchair accessible and families with young children are welcome.
