June marks Pride month, and Edinburgh will be hosting a variety of events that highlight the city’s rich queer history and commitment to inclusivity.
Here’s a look at some of the standout Pride events and experiences that make this year’s celebrations truly special.

Porty Pride
Based in Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside town, Porty Pride are an intergenerational, intersectional, accessible community-run pride.
From film nights and workshops to sporting events and discos, Porty Pride will be running a bumper programme of events.

Queer Folks Tales
Celebrate the start of summer 2026 with LGBTQ+ storytellers galore from around Edinburgh and Scotland sharing stories of queer lives, past, present and future at Queer Folks Tales.
Household names feature alongside new and diverse queer storytellers from the different communities of Scotland. The event takes is hosted by Edinburgh’s Turan Ali, who is joined in June by stand-up Heather Ross, crime novelist Emma Christie and musician Raveloe.
Queer Folks Tales is on at the Scottish Storytelling Centre on 12 June 2026.
LGBTQ+ Drop-in Art Workshops
Led by a local queer artist, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh will be hosting a series of free drop-in art workshops in June.
Using collage and mixed-media as a form of alchemy, Queer Alchemy Collage workshop will take inspiration from Rebis, a central symbolic figure in alchemy, who can be seen in the College’s new exhibition space.
In Queer Botanical Mark Making participants will be ‘queering’ botanical illustration. Using a range of art materials and paper types, use fun drawing prompts to explore different ways of recording plants and flowers.
Workshops run on 16 and 18 June 2026 respectively.
Pride History Tours
This June, in celebration of Pride month, join The Real Mary King’s Close for the educational and thought-provoking Pride History Tours, designed to reveal the often-overlooked histories of LGBTQIA+ lives in Edinburgh from the 16th century through to the early 20th century.
Led by costumed historical figures such as Robert Fergusson and Marie Maitland, the tour brings to light stories of creativity, resilience, and change. Along the way, learn more about pioneering individuals including James Barry and Sophia Jex-Blake.
Pride History Tours run 20 and 27 June 2026, starting at 4pm and 6pm.
Pride Edinburgh
In March 1995 Edinburgh hosted Scotland’s first ever Pride march. 2026 marks Pride Edinburgh as Scotland’s longest running celebration of diversity.
This year’s festivities include The Pride Edinburgh March, commencing at the Scottish Parliament at the bottom of the Royal Mile, passing through Canongate, George IV Bridge and Potterrow, before finishing at The Pride Edinburgh Festival Village on Bristo Square. It’s here that Edinburgh drag queen Blaze will take to the stage to host an exciting concert, with guests including headliner Cher Lloyd, Grammy-nominated vocalist Kelli-Leigh, Nigerian dance music icon Kah-Lo, Lady Gaga impersonator Donna Marie Gaga, as well as DJ sets from GALIVERSE. The concert, which has free entry, runs from 2pm to 6pm.
Pride Edinburgh takes place on 20 June 2026.
Pride Hoose Party
Hosted by Scottish drag royalty and Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK contestant Chanel O’Conor, the Pride Hoose Party at The Hoxton, Edinburgh rounds off Pride with a bang.
The party begins with drinks, sourdough pizza by-the-slice from Patatino, tacos from El Dorado Taqueria and colourful sweet treats from dessert experts Krema Bakehouse. This will be followed by immersive sets from international pop-house DJ Prince JayJay and a special guest to keep the vibes going until 1am.
Pride Hoose Party is on 20 June 2026.
MNB Pride Market
MNB Pride Market will be returning to Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith this July.
With free entry and pet-friendly, browse the 28 curated stalls showing all things handmade. They’ll also be creative workshops throughout the day, and food and drink available to buy from the fully licensed Drill Hall Café. 10am to 11am is sensory hour.
MNB Pride Market runs from 10am to 4pm on 04 July 2026.
