Down the Hatch are a Canadian-inspired diner with two locations in Edinburgh and South Queensferry, known for bold comfort food including loaded poutines, stacked burgers, wings, and indulgent breakfast dishes.

The Edinburgh city centre site, located on Antigua Street (EH1), is open daily from 12pm to 11pm (midnight Friday and Saturday), offering a lively full-service experience focused on lunch, dinner, drinks, and live sports.

The South Queensferry location, on High Street (EH30), is open 8:30am to 4:30pm daily, with a strong focus on breakfast and brunch, making it a go-to spot for morning dining, coffee, and relaxed daytime meals.

Both venues are fully wheelchair accessible and family-friendly, with a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all guests. Whether it’s a casual meal, group booking, or special occasion, Down the Hatch delivers a fun, laid-back dining experience with big flavours.

Resident Rate

Residents with an EH postcode receive 20% discount on the total food bill. No booking is required. Residents should let the team know they are using the Resident Rewards offer and show proof of an EH postcode when paying (photo ID or utility bill with an EH postcode).
