Just 25 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, Lost Shore Surf Resort near Ratho is home to Europe’s largest wave pool, and it’s here that you’ll find world-class surfing, premium accommodation, and a wave of wellness experiences.

Whether you’re ready and raring to hit the water, or would rather watch the waves, everyone is welcome. Learn to ride the waves with surf lessons for 7 years+ and all abilities, kick back and savour bold flavours in the waterfront café bar, or relax your mind and body with a range of spa treatments.

The main resort and cove area, including the café, bar, restaurant, toilets and changing areas are wheelchair accessible. Inclusive and para surfing sessions in collaboration with Inclusive Surfing Scotland are available.

Only 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre, whether you choose to visit by car, by bike, or via The Surf Bus from George Street, the surf is closer than you think!

Terms and conditions

• This reward is available exclusively to residents with an EH postcode. Discounts valid on surf sessions and lessons in May 2026. Contact and address details will be required when booking and again on arrival (photo ID and proof of address, such as a utility bill showing your EH postcode).
• Lessons, which are available at Beginner, Beginner Plus, Improver and Improver Plus levels, should be booked onSurf Lessons using code LEGEND25 in the promo code/gift voucher box.
• Sessions, which are available on Beginner Open Bay and Intermediate settings, should be booked on Surf Sessions using code LEGEND25 in the promo code/gift voucher box.
• In a lesson, an instructor will guide you in a safe and fun manner from the beginner waves to improver waves and beyond. In a session, you surf independently like you would in the ocean. Lessons include a 30 minute on-land instruction followed by an hour in the water with an instructor.
• Surf sessions last for one hour and are for surfers with previous experience who are comfortable on their board.
• The reward and associated promo code are valid from 01 to 31 May 2026 onbookable surf sessions and lessons (see below for more details) throughout May 2026.
• The minimum age to take part is 7 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
• All participants need to be able to swim at least 25 metres unaided and must be water confident.
• For a lesson, a high quality 5/4mm wetsuits, boots, gloves, and a hood will be provided. For a session, an £8.00 per person fee will apply to rental of the above items. Participants are welcome to bring their own wetsuit, but if it does not meet Lost Shore’s safety standards, you may be requested to wear one of theirs.
• The resort has a range of softboards that are free to use, and a variety of higher performance boards that are available to rent.
• Advance booking required.
• All bookings are subject to availability.
• Discount only available on Beginner, Beginner Plus, Improver and Improver Plus lessons, Beginner Open Bay and Intermediate sessions in May 2026. Not valid on multiple surf packs, bundles of any kind, or Air Waves.
• Maximum one use per customer.
• This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or discounts.
