Uncover the untold stories of remarkable women who shaped Edinburgh’s history with Women Hidden in Plain Sight (WHIPS).
Through an audio tour or guided walk, WHIPS reveals and highlights the contributions of women to the spaces they inhabited and shaped. Taking an average of 90 to 120 minutes to complete, this 2.5km walking tour includes some fascinating stories about extraordinary women, from medieval queens and affluent heiresses to rulebreakers.

Bookings can be made by emailing info@whipstours.com and quoting Resident Rewards. Upon confirmation of payment, those who have purchased the audio tour will receive a voucher code allowing them to download the tour on the VoiceMap app. Those who have purchased an in-person guided walk will be sent instructions for the meeting point and further tour details.
