As part of the Oasis Live ’25 world tour, Oasis are performing on Friday 08, Saturday 09 and Tuesday 12 August 2025. AC/DC will be taking to the stage on Thursday 21 August 2025 for the final European performance of the POWER UP tour.
If you’re one of the tens of thousands lucky enough to have secured a ticket for either, the atmosphere will be electric, and the city busier than usual.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan or seeing either for the first time, we want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience. That’s why we’ve put together some essential tips to help you make the most of the day – from getting to the stadium to access information.
Transport

Both before and after each concert, public transport is likely to be busier than normal, so allow for additional journey time. If you can, walk to and from the stadium.
- On foot – Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium is approximately 45 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh city centre and 20 minutes’ walk from Haymarket train station.
- By bus – Lothian Buses operate multiple routes across Edinburgh that include Murrayfield Stadium. Plan your journey, follow travel updates and buy tickets via the bus and tram app. Payment can also be made onboard by contactless or cash (exact amount only) You can also use your NEC travel pass. Bright Bus Airport Express run a regular service from Edinburgh airport into the city, with a stop at Murrayfield Stadium, while McGill’s X38 Falkirk to Edinburgh has a stop on Murrayfield Road. There are also several coach services which travel into Edinburgh, some of which stop close to the stadium, including Flixbus and Citylink. Big Green Coach is also running coach returns from several cities, including Aberdeen, Arbroath and Carlisle.
- By tram – Running every 7 minutes in both directions, Edinburgh Trams go from Edinburgh Airport to Newhaven, with a stop at Murrayfield Stadium. Alternatively, disembark at the Balgreen stop and walk the short distance to the stadium. Tickets must be purchased before boarding. Simply hold your card or payment device against one of the platform validators before boarding the tram, and again when you reach your destination. This will charge you a standard single fare. Failure to Tap Off will result in a full airport fare of £7.50. Please note, the same card or device should be used when tapping on and off in order to receive the cheapest rate.
- By train – Waverley Station is in the middle of Edinburgh city centre; Haymarket Station is at the west end. Both stations offer convenient access to the stadium, either by ongoing tram, bus or on foot. See Scotrail for train timetables and tickets.
- By car – There is no parking available in the streets around the stadium on major event days. Local road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect both before and after the concerts. It is recommended using the numerous Park and Ride facilities located around the outskirts of Edinburgh. From there, you can access the city centre or stadium via the bus or tram network. Check for live updates on road closures, accidents, weather warnings and journey times with Traffic Scotland.
Access requirements
- Accessible toilet facilities are located around the stadium. A Changing Places toilet is located in the lower southwest corner of the stadium.
- There is a designated wheelchair viewing section. Wheelchair tickets must be purchased in order to gain access to this area. Please note, wheelchairs or walking aids are not permitted on the pitch (excluding the wheelchair accessible platform).
- Plan and prepare for queues – with the expected large volume of people attending the concert, queues are likely. Be sure to factor this into your day and bring along any necessary supplies.
- If you would like information on additional support available within the venue (BSL, sensory bags etc) please complete the Gigs in Scotland Stadium Accessible Application Form ahead of the event.
- If travelling to and from the stadium with Edinburgh Trams, visitors will find all trams equipped with high visibility handrails, passenger alert buttons signposted in Braille, dedicated disabled priority seats and low entrances throughout. All tram stops are accessed via gently sloping ramps or lifts. All of Lothian Buses have at least one wheelchair accessible space. Buses have push bells which are tactile and embossed with braille and handrails in high contrasting colours for the best possible visibility. All drivers receive disability awareness training that includes a wide range of conditions including autism, visual and hearing impairments, dementia and epilepsy.
Food and drink
- There will be a range of hot and cold food and drinks available to buy within the stadium, catering for different dietaries.
